Beauty: Neutrogena Moisture SPF 15 Review

Hi Ladies!

      Looking for a moisturizer that has sun protection? Well that’s not new to the beauty world. I, myself is always in hunt for that perfect moisturizer that will give me that glow and firm skin. Living in a tropical country, using moisturizer is a must since the skin tends to dry out due to excessive sun exposure. Thus a product which will give moisture and protection at the same time is a winner for us!

     Presenting my newly discovered moisturizer,  Neutrogena Moisture SPF 15 which claims to provide long-lasting moisturization with effective sun protection.

From the bottle it says:

• ·         Lightweight formula moisturizes skin throughout the day
• ·         PABA-free SPF 15 sunscreens block UVB/UVA rays
• ·         Non-comedogenic Formula won’t clog pores that can cause skin to break out
• ·         Dermatologist tested. Hypoallergenic. Fragrance-free. Alcohol free. 

I took a photo of the product itself.2 pumps of the product is enough for my whole face and a pump for my neck. 100 ML? Not bad though.

    As you can see the consistency is like other moisturizer. However this one, once absorbed will not look like a white cast on your face.

   See? It is well absorbed by skin as soon as you spread evenly the product. I usually apply this before I put on my liquid foundation.

  I did a beauty road test to this product after using my previous product for quite a long time. I was quite hesitant at first but being certified kikay (English translation: vain) , I thought maybe I should give this a try. For your reference my skin is combination skin, my forehead is oily skin, and my cheeks are dry.  I put this every morning after bath, and hoolah the product is sheen when applied on the face.

Overall....

WHAT I LOVE ABOUT NEUTROGENA MOISTURE SPF15?

• ·         It sheen so you can apply it underneath your foundation
• ·         It is fastly absorbed by the skin
• ·         It has sun protection
• ·         You a small amount for the whole face
• ·         Non-comedogenic which is good for sensitive skin
• ·         No fragrance
• ·         Lightweight

WHAT I DO NOT LOVE ABOUT NEUTROGENA MOISTURE SPF15?

• ·         It is pricey (around 600 - 700 Php)
• ·         It tends to make you look oily if you have oily skin
• ·         The sun protection must at least be higher
• ·       100 ML for the price is unjustifiable

   So overall, I had so many things to love about this product more than those which i don’t love about it. As for us who are always into exploring new beauty products, I can say that this is  a must try.

Beauty: Bobbi Brown Rich Lip Color in Soft Coral Review and Comparison

Hi Readers! 

       As summer is approaching, your beauty blogger is in the hunt for that perfect summer makeup. Summer makeup should be neutral yet with a pop of color, may it be in the eyes or lips. Since doing eye shadow makeup can be tedious, well a swipe of color on your lips can do the trick!

      Presenting, Bobbi Brown Lip Color SPF 12 in Soft Coral. I bought this when I was in the mall and this instantly caught my attention. The color look so tempting and the texture is creamy. As soon as the MUA put this on my lips, all I have in my mind then was “ I really need to buy this”.

This is a creamy, semi-matte lipstick gives lips instant polish with rich, full coverage. Wear alone or pair with lip liner or one of Bobbi's lip glosses - depending on your desired effect. Black lipstick cases feature metallic chrome detailing.

To make it more visual, I compare with my other peachy lipsticks

            From left to right: Max Factor Pearl Orange, Covergirl Rapture, Bobbi Brown Soft Coral

Max Factor is more of pearl shine effect on the lips, the color is more intense compared to Bobbi brown Soft Coral which will fall in the shade of orange.

Covergirl Rapture is more of that light orange shade, like a peach one and is lighter than Bobbi Brown Soft Coral. This will tend to settle on the lines of the lips

Bobbi Brown Soft Coral is true peachy orange and with peach undertone to it.

Based on the pics above. Pearl Orange on the left is a true orange. At the middle is the Rapture which is light and the Soft coral on the right which a bit redder..

When applied on the lips, here is what it looks like:

What I love most about Bobbi Brown Rich Lip Color in Soft Coral?

• ·         It’s creamy and highly pigmented
• ·         It’s very moisturizing to the lips
• ·         Shiny (no lipgloss needed)
• ·         Has SPF 12
• ·         This will not look pale for Morenas

What I love most about Bobbi Brown Rich Lip Color in Soft Coral?

• ·         It can accentuate the lines of your lips if dry or chapped
• ·         The color doesn’t stay too long on my lips
• ·         Pricey (Php 1,100 at Rustan’s)

Overall, I can give this lipstick a rating of 7 out of 10. If you’re looking for that peachy/coral lipsticks then this is a good try but not a must try for me. There were other coral lipsticks in the market that you can avail in a much cheaper price since there is no harm in exploring more beauty products out there! Happy beauty shopping!

Beauty: Bloggers United

Though I am not a big fan of attending bazaars, there was this one bazaar that is worth sharing with you guys..Held at World Trade Center for a bazaar for the the Holidays, me and bf went to do some shopping for gifts. So while roaming around, I was fascinated to see that there is allocated space for the Fashion Bloggers Kiosks for second hand clothes! More than the clothes itself, I really was excited to see them in the flesh since I only got to see them thru fashion blogs.

First of is to finally meet Ms, Camille Co of https://www.itscamilleco.com. 
The blog is more of presenting clothes in such a stylish way, worn actually by the author itself. BF was at first asking why i was so excited, told him i'm a fan of her blog and the answer was a face fll of questions. Haha. Maybe because he's a guy and not fond of fashion blogs Of course!


So this is some of the pictures BF took for the Blogger United Event!

Though the event name implies Bloggers United and I'm a blogger myself, the event is for the fashion bloggers who are selling their used clothes, shoes, accessories at a much lower price to halp charities / donations for the spirit of christmas. How cool is that? Giving back is such a heroic deed. Thumbs Up!

 With Ms. Camille Co! She's a fashion blogger, designer and also a model.She was really kind to have me with this picture! Not snobbish! Oh I really love her fashion style!

This is Ms. Lissa Kahayon of Scene Stealer who also has her stalls on this event. She was tall too like Camille, or maybe I'm wearing flats and she was wearing high heels. Her smile is really cute and her dress is stylish.

 See how many people raved for this event. Although we went there last day I think for the event, but there were still clothes, accessories and shoes to choose from.

Other bloggers I saw in there were, Vernice Enciso who is very pretty, Sophie Uy, David Guison etc. Those who are readers of fashion blogs can relate to me! haha. I want to see kryz uy or laureen uy but they were not there but still seeing other bloggers made me excited.

Beauty: Happy 2013 Everyone!

A new year has come and this year is my wedding year! Yipee for that! Me and my BF are planning to get married this year and the moment 2013 arrived, all I told to myself is "This is it".

So what's in store for my readers? Well, I want to post more travels, food trips and beauty guide this year! And this will mean, more travels, more food to explore and more beauty products to discover!

 So this new year's eve, I did my own makeup..Can't show the step by step tutorial but I can show which products I used and the finished look..

TRAVELS: Puca Beach, Boracay

 

Puca Beach Boracay

Last month, Nov 3, 2012 we went back to Boracay Island, Aklan Philippines for another unforgettable experience with nature. The weather was perfect and everything has fall into place. The scenic beauty of this island has magic on it that once you've been, you will never get tired of going there again and again.

Puca beach is separated from the usual shore of the commercialized boracay. In here, there were no bars, nor hotel. We've been here before during our first time  in Boracay by means of riding a boat from our hotel. However this time, we reach this beautiful beach by riding an ATV (like a motor bike) for 30 mins while the sun was scorching hot! Nevertheless, the scenery makes it all worth it.

At Puca Beach Boracay, the water has more waves compared to a solemn and calm at the usual boracay shore. The water was cold and clear, and as expected the sand was really fine and white. We went there with lots of koreans and they were like so pleased with how beautiful the beach is. Let me give a glimpse of what I am talking about :-)

Well that's me! Enjoying every bit and every drop of the water. The waves were like pushing and pulling you at the same time which will give you more like a thrill while dipping into the water. The water as like coming from a mineral water tank! Its how clear ir is! Really God has created paradise on earth and this is just one of them!

As we walk along the shore of Puca beach, we found this cute place to take pictures with! A wooden bench where one can sit and just feel the breeze touching through your skin and be amazed of what your eyes can see..

We're like posing :-). Regardless who is in the picture, the background is such an art, a one-of-a-kind.

Let me give a last shot. This is actually the shore, and as you can see, I am the only one visible in this place, there were like just 20 of us who was in there during our visit. So if you are in hunt for a more private place to enjoy boracay, please do a visit on Puca Beach. Though we both tried riding a boat and atv in order to reach this beautiful beach, we suggest you take the ATV. More fun and more adventurous!

TRAVELS: The Peak of Mt. Tapyas in Coron, Palawan

 

Our last day in Coron Palawan will never be complete without seeing the entire place in a Top View.  So an early morning hike in Mt. Tapyas is better way to experience going to the top. Me and my friends went there 5am and started going up the stairs. Unlike other mountains, this have stairs which is convenient!

It is one of the mountains in Busuanga and can be reach via tricycle or just a walk from the town proper. What a better way to exercise and at the same time experience the nature! The entrance of the trail is just beside the basketball court and there you will be welcomed with stairs!

 Going to the top of the mountain will take you less than an hour to trek. We've seen some visitors who went here not just to go to the top, but also to break some sweat!

A shed is available for visitors where you can rest for a while and renew some energy to go up again!

 This is how high we have conquered. We are almost halfway going to the top! See our background? Very nice indeed.

 Finally, we reached the top! See how high the steel cross which is actually very visible at the town proper of Coron. There were hear-says that it is made of steel in order to withstand thunder storms that visits the place every now and then. But our month of visit was just a perfect weather!

Whew! Breathtaking view at the top of Mt. Tapyas. It is really is worth the effort! You can take a peak of how beautiful coron is!

 We can't get enough of the beautiful scenery that's why me and my friend keeps on clicking some souvenir pictures!

There are no entrance fee and everything is free! You must wear light and comfortable clothing, slippers or rubbershoes, bring some bottled water and towel you wipe sweat. Also camera! 

It was a nice experience especially when you share it with your friends! Come and visit Mt. Tapyas while you were in Coron, Palawan. Definitely a must see!
